Facebook needle felting exchange!
So fun! There is a needle felting exchange on Facebook. There is a theme each month. You needle felt something to fit the theme and at the end of the
Month you send it to someone and you get something from someone else!
This month, July, theme is space.

Needle felting kit at Daiso Japanese Store
I found this panda kit for $1.50 at Daiso. It is sort of a 99 cent store but everything is $1.50. They also carry felting wool and needles. Good products for great price. Directions are in English on one side, Japanese on the other with nice pictures to follow. Daiso stores are located throughout my area. Look them up to see if there is a store near you!

Easy, Cute barn owl needle felting tutorial
Wednesday, June 25, 2014
How did I get started?
I am still a total beginner at needle felting. This is how I got started.
I was at Wonder Con, sort of a mini Comic Con, and saw a needle felted bug with polymer clay hands, feet, and face. It was darling. I started talking to the artist and it turns out she was going to be teaching a class where you make your own!
When I went to sign up, I noticed another class with the same artist, Kathy Davis, to make a completely needle felted pull toy. I signed up for both with no knowledge of either technique.
My first project ever was a dragon. There are pics on the blog of him. I was hooked! I am still working on my bug.
So far, I am not fond of sculpting. I am also not good at it. I will probably take her fairy sculpting class in July and robot making class in August and decide if I like it or if I will stick to completely felted projects.
She teaches at Piecemakers in Costa Mesa, Ca. Here is a link to their new classes

No needle felting but some fun challenging crafts. When I took the classes there were 3 other people all super nice.
I'll post pics when those projects are done!
Happy creating!
